Different spot than the arial... but you could walk there. That place I posted a pic of - a trad bow hunter pulled a spike outta there a week ago. I should say that he and I pulled the spike out. He came by my stand with spike in tow on a saturday evening just as shooting light was finished, and I just couldn't let him pull that deer 3/4 mile on his own.

I am pretty sure I know where both spots are, the areial for sure. We studied several areials of the place before we headed up there. I left a few bloodtrails in those parts, as a matter of fact those rubs were made one day while strutnrut took an hour break from hunting. Came back and the rubs were made while he was gone, he did get that buck to 40 yards but no clear shot was present. Good luck, I won't tell you how big he was and spoil your chess game. ;D

It's amazing that those rubs were made in one hour, if they are the ones I'm talking about. Big cedars as thick as my leg. I'll have to go back there and get a couple of pictures of 'em, and maybe bow hunt it one morning. If you're talking about the buck that's hanging out near the 'areial' pic spot, I believe I've seen him twice, or perhaps there's more than one hanging there. The one I saw was a 70"-80" 8-pointer (?) that looked to be about 2.5 years old. I had him in at 22 yards one night right at the end of shooting light (behind brush) and out at about 50 yards one morning at the areial spot. He was a nice buck, but not something that would get you in the paper. This late in the season I'd settle for him... a respectable public land buck to take with a bow.

There was a bigger one there earlier then.
I'm guessing it was an hour that's usually as long as a break as he takes but he did have to drive to the sporting goods store one day for some broadheads, i'll ask him if it was that day.
