our deer season closed in the northern part of the state yesterday, i went out for one last hunt yesterday afternoon, on my way in to the box stand , i spied a very large doe at the edge of a old food plot, i shot her with my Knight ML..droped it in it's tracks----- ;DGreat way to start the New Year!!!!!

that'll work .... getting some meat in the freezer in the 11th hour is always nice. congrats on the nice start to a new year. traditionally i always hunt new years day but it was on sunday this year... fact is when the millenium came around i was out before sunup. i figured since i live right near the ocean i may have a shot at the "first deer of the new millenium " lol didnt happen... i always wondered who took it .

auchumpkeecreek - nice going. I'd like to drop one or two more deer, but it's gonna be a busy January & I won't get out too many more times.
