Just wondering what common human foods could be used as a scent attractant for whitetails? Things that come to mind are peanut butter, vanilla, coffee, molasses. Has anyone used these or other stuff and what success have you had? It seems to me that during cold gun season, many times when I open my Thermos of coffee, deer seem to come in. Also I had bought a five gallon bucket of molasses and smeared it on trees around my stand during one season, and the deer seemed to completely ignore it. Your thoughts please, where I hunt we are allowed to bait.

peanut butter mixed with some honey works for nearly anything in the woods. I've tried peanut butter a few times and they do eat it, so does the raccoons and other critters. vanilla attracts them long enough on a trail to get a shot most times. there isnt any sure fire deal otherwise everyone would use it . natural food sources work best like acorns and corn left in fields though if you ask me. I've wasted money on nearly everything known to man trying to find that surefire buck attractant.Let us know if you find it, I sure haven't yet .
