got this doe around 7:45am. i didnt get there till 7:30am. long wait huh? ;D she walked under my new favorite white oak. 10 yrd quartering to me shot. dropped on the spot. i was on the ground hiding behind some sticker bushes. i also missed a doe last friday but we wont talk about that. the way i was shaking you'd of thought i was naked and wet in a -50 freezer. i was much more calm today. this oak tree is my key to success. you can see how far forward the entrance wound is compared to the exit wound in the pics. i guess going in late aint that bad after all boman?

Nice job Todd! Seems like you are a natural born hunter. Congrats man. I have yet to kill a deer from the ground with my bow. I had a chance last year in Kentucky, but let her walk thinking something with horns may have been coming up behind her.

er, just a suggestion but buy a 6X8 or similar tarp from walmart and tie the rope to the front corners. Load the deer on the tarp and see how easy it slides.

Load the deer on the tarp and see how easy it slides. i like the harness drag. it folds up really small and fits in my fanny pack. i also have this. but it stays in the truck unless its really needed www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=210605

that looks like a nice sled for the job Todd.
My son and I 'tarped' one out last year, actually he did most of it while I caught my breath.
