climbing stands or fixed position stands ie hangons.
In your opinion.
What are the pro's and con's of each?
Which one is your favorite?

I have the lone wolf alpha hang on. it is light has a large platform and is absolutely silent. I'm up to 7 of the sticks. With the sticks and multiple hooks and straps I can have multiple setups with just the one stand. There are virtually no trees that I like setting up in, it which a climber would work.
A 20 foot tall ladder stand could work for me though.

Climbers are safer but require more time each trip.
Hangers, sometimes dangerous to hang but the biggest disadvantage is stand thieves. I bet I've had over 20 hangers stolen over the years, one this summer and I had it chained and padlocked with heavy duty chain and lock and the steps removed. They got it anyway.
On known hunts, I like a hanger or ladder stand already in place but I sure like the secrecy and mobility of the climber too.
Overall I prefer climbers I think.
