went this morning and sat in the POURING DOWN RAIN for three hours until my NEW REPLACEMENT summit bowholder broke. thats two in 15 days. i wanted to stay till the rain let up but with this happening and my buddy riding up and down the road obviously trying to tell me he wanted to leave, i gave up. i got dropped off and hunted a remote part of the property that has a road going through it but doesnt allow any parking. didnt see anything but im sure its a good are. just rained to hard. these plastic bowholders are junk. summit is closed today but i sent them this e-mail
"on sept 22nd i was hunting in my goliath when my plastic summit bowholder broke with my $1000 bowtech tribute in it. lucky for me i saw it start to fall foward and grabbed it. it looks like a stress crack. i called the # on the part and the lady said they would send me a new one. the new one came within a couple days and i was satisfied. well today, sat the 7th of october, the new one broke! prior to installing the new one a dabbed the rubber covering inside with super glue hoping if this one broke it would stay together long enough for me to keep my bow from falling. lets face it, its a cheesy piece of plastic. im glad i did, it worked. ive talked to several friends that have the same holder. one has had the same problem and the other two have had no problems at all and have had theirs for over two years. i looked at my buddys who i was hunting with today just to check i have the thing installed right. i do. i dont know if you have had a weak batch produced or its just the fact its a cheap piece of plastic. i do know i DO NOT WANT ANOTHER ONE!!! when i logged on to your site i noticed there is a new METAL bow holder, IMAGINE THAT! i want this one sent to me please. i have been a loyal customer of summit and really like the products you make. i love my goliath with all my add on accesories. please send me the NEW metal bow older. i put my holder on the left side of my stand as i am right handed, if that makes a difference. thank you and i hope you resolve the issues with the plastic bowholder, todd bonner"
