If any of you read my intro you know I was an old dyed in the wool flint lock man. But insanity took hold and I bought a Sav 10 ML in August. This Saturday I shot a 7 pt at 132 yds and a fox at 203 yds ( laser rangefinder) with the Savage. After shooting iron sights on a rock gun, for years, it seemed almost too easy. Sorry guys no pictures because I haven't bought a digital camera yet and I forgot film for my 35. I can tell you I have already nicknamed him pin head. He was fairly heavy in the body but his rack was rather small it didn't sweep out past the ears more straight up. Heads in the freezer because I haven't decided if i will mount him, I'll see what the rest of the season brings. Good luck to the rest of you. CYA

Congrats on the buck, and welcome to the forum! You must be a fine shot.... hitting a fox at 200 yards is mighty fine shooting, with any gun, not to mention a muzzleloader. I pretty much limit my shots to 100yds or less. I'm just not that good a shot, typically.
