Doubled up with two does this afternoon

I had a great day in the woods today. Passed on two young bucks in the morning hunt. The afternoon hunt found me on stand by 1:00 pm. At 1:30 the 8 point I passed on the morning hunt skirted me at 60 yards. At 3:45 I had two does get to 30 yards before I even saw them. I was already standing so all I had to do was grab my bow and wait for an oppurtunity. I made damn sure the one I was shooting at did not have buttons. The arrow caught her perfect double lunged her at 20 yards. She took a few jumps, stopped and fell over. The other doe who was with her ran off about 50 yards and just stood there and finally walked off. About 45 minutes later she came back looking for her sister. Big mistake, and after making double sure there were no buttons on her, she got Thunderized also at 15 yards. I caught her a little forward of where I was aiming, took out near lung and the plumbing at the top of the heart and exited at the base of her neck. She ran out of sight, but I heard her crash. Waited a half hour and trailed her right up.

These two were about the same size 90-100 dressed out. I think they are yearlings.

This is the first timne I've ever doubled.

Yes, the freezer is full, and the back is hurtin!! ;D

I didn't have to drag either of them very far, just to a field edge so that I could get my four wheeler hooked to them. If not for my four wheeler I would be really hurting right now.

I can pack 16 deboned grown deer in my freezer and it ain't all that big.

I don't have 4-5 days to dedicate to the KY trip like I want to, so I did not make it to Ryan's this year. After school is out for the semester in December I might make it down there. I dress my deer like normal. ;D After I hung these I cut through the ribs and really opened em up to cool and help with drainage also. Obviously I need to get a grambel or two.

Yeah, who am I kidding...I'll probably down a couple more if given the chance. ;D My bro-inlaw always give me two or three deer also. My family can easily eat 4-5 deer per year probably more if they're yearlings like these. My kids aint teenagers yet like yours though, so no need to have 16 deer packed in the deep freeze. lol I would like to donate a couple to the local food bank though.
