What's the ATA on the bow and where are the timing marks at the top of the limbs set at?

I don't know I still think it's just a matter of tweaking the bow to get some more out of it. I like the idea of the smooth mods for hunting, so I'd rather you got that bow performing optimally with with the smooth mods first and then decide if you still need more speed.

eshore, I asked Bowtech about where the timing marks should be for a tribute 70lbs at 29". THis is the resposnse:
"As a quick reference point their should be 2 dots showing on the outside edge of the limbs however, if the bow specs are on but the cams aren’t in this exact position I wouldn’t have them adjusted any."

Eshore, On the cams there will be some notches/marks, the proper timing of the cams is for them to both have 2 notches above the limbs. On the ATA I want you to take a tape measure and actually measure it to see if the specs are on. I'm guessing the deal is that when Len changed out the cams, he put everything back close but didn't waste time putting everything back perfect, because he knew he'd have to do that after the bow was shot in and the string settled. I'd shoot it in have him put the bow back to specs and then run it through the chrono first, before jumping up to the speed mods which you might not even need. Maybe think about getting a few things off the string. The brass nocks can be replaced with serving once the string settles.

len sent me this today
Todd: I'll order in some of the sights with the green/yellow/green configuration. It will be some time before I get them, so please use the one you've got until then. Please send me an e-mail at lenmacro@aol.com to remind me.
First, remember that people 'on-line' always 'think' that something should be faster; however, that doesn't mean that I don't have a couple of neat tricks up my sleeve that will get you some more speed. Stop by when you get a chance and I'll give you some more speed without changing the poundage. If you want more than that, we may be able to 'up' that poundage by changing limb buttons. That would be my last resort due to the fact that the arrows could be adversely affected. Yes, we could decrease the tip weight to increase arrow spine, but I think that is a bad approach for hunting. I'll explain it all when I see you. The module change is another approach, but you'd have to decide whether or not you'd want to have a very short valley for hunting. I'm not sure if I have the hard modules in stock. I'm waiting for delivery of them and I'm not sure when they'll arrive.
We'll get you exactly where you feel most comfortable. It will just take some TLC. ;-)

What he is telling you that the faster he can make it the harder it will be to actually hunt with.... less forgiveness. have you been shooting it , if so how has it been shooting? it may end up lightning fast and you have lots of passbys instead of passthroughs .

eshoremd, What do you have on the string. It's hard to tell form the picture. Looks like a string loop, Kisser, 2 brass nocks, a peep and 2 string silencers. Is that right?

I'd lose the 2 brass nocks, serving works just as well and is lighter, once Len gets it back to specs, you'll be over 280. When you getting over there?
