Five years ago I would have been their in a heartbeat. But, now I'm married. And I can't do things like I used to. LOL I already took one expensive hunt this year, which my wife graciously let me spend the money on. So I am not going to push my luck to much. LOL Maybe next year.

You make it sound like being married is like unto a ball and chain. I couldn't hunt and travel like I do if not for the wife keeping the homefires burning while I'm away.

Not at all. I just can't spend the money like I used to. Now I have different priorities than I used to. I have a wife and daughter to think about. I work from home so I can take care of our daughter. Don't want her to go to day care. Costs way too much money, and someone else would be raising our child.
I already have several different hunts to attend this year. They are here in Illinois, but still have traveling, food, and lodging expenses. Good luck to you all. Hope ya get some dandies!

yeah, I can agree on the day care. almost seems like the gov has it all planned out for every citizen, male and female, to have to work. Most of the natural resources are being fully exploited so now the theme seems to be maximum utilization of human resources. On the bright side, some of us have figured a way to beat the high costs of lodging.

just updating some . the hunt is going to be a great success i believe, if everyone who is saying they are coming is, there should be around 25 or 30 attending. should be a great time. milburn landing campground will be closed except on weekends so we are going to have it at shad landing instead. i will put up the link tonight on where to make campsite reservations and what section to make them in. i dont think at that time of year getting sites will be a problem though, but ya never know.

Want to welcome the new guys from Pa and Ohio checking us out. Don't be bashful. If you want to attend the hunt just let us know so we can have an idea how many to expect, etc.

Hey fellas I am the guy from PA. My name is Dave, I have spoken to Ncboman a few times on another forum. Anywho, he invited me over here to check out this hunt you fellas go on. By the sounds of it..its gonna be pretty darn fun. I have to do some figuring as to what the total would be to attend. If I got this right MD non-res licence with archery stamp is gonna be $155. And if I read right $250 for camping? I know i wouldn't be able to stay for the entire stretch, probably for the week in between weekends? So I guess my question are:
What type of gear to bring, besides the odvious hunting gear:
Do i need my own tent
groceries or pack in food
Water supply or bottled
Stove
Feel free to through in anything :PHey
