32grams has always been the deal, in terms of absorption at one sitting, so you need to spread it out. I eat more than that though at each sitting because you got to get your calories from somewhere and the protein really shuts down my appetite.

This is interesting: www.physicalmag.com/index.php?p=9&a=3044The problem that I have is that using weight as a measure does not equate well as a reference to the amount of muscle mass. But certainly anywhere near that 1g/lb/day, should be plenty, especially if it is spread out a bit.

www.xsportfitness.com/I just signed up for this gym. They had a charter member deal of 35.75/month and that rate is guaranteed for as long as I maintain the membership. I had to sign up now to secure that rate but was able to defer the start of the membership till January. So I'll do the boxing thing for the next few months and continue to incorporate the resistance training with the vest on the hill and with the pushups and situps and just body weight on the chins. And this year I'll maintain the upper body resistance training through out the season. Just twice a week and then roll right into it next January. Their dumbells go to 150. 120 should be plenty, I'm really looking forward to it.

20 today with the vest on the hill. First time that I can say, it really wasn't bad at all. Real good feeling to have made that kind of progress from where I was in February.
Tonight the boxing program begins. A warehouse has been secured and they have 3 bags up and 2 speed bags and a even a ring for sparring. I guess there's 8 guys, should be interesting.

the secret weapon! shhhhh! 1 bar and 32oz of skim milk=680calories, 9 grams fat and 68 grams protein. this is my second order, 11 boxes of 12 bars. last order was 6 boxes and lasted 4 weeks. did 425x3 bench yesterday and got 240x6 behind the neck presses which is a tie for the most ive ever done behind the neck. going to try and squat 400x4 today. my squat is going to pass my bench within the next month, thank god!

I've been using these: www.powerbar.com/Products/ProteinPlus/Sam's club has them for $14 a box. www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=188803How do those Met-Rx ones taste? Congratulations on that Behind the neck Military, that's crazy strong. I got 20 on the sledding hill today in under 40 minutes, still improving. I wish I was in the gym though. Last week I hooked up with those guys, they're just hacks at this time and they don't take too well to instruction. When I illustrated the left hook to the body and the head, their jaws just about dropped, but they couldn't leave their ego's at the door and instead of learning the mechanics they continued to try to hit the bag hard, completely ineffective. Thing is though that I keep improving. I may not be able to get back to where I was when I was a younger man, but this is the best all around shape I've been in, in a long time and I'm athletic, I have good balance and movement. Real good speed too. And my wind is through the roof. I just need to keep trimming slowly.

"the mud pie fusion flavor is without a doubt the best tasting protein bar ive ever had."
I agree, almost like having a candy bar. Good stuff!!!
It's very hard to get proper protein intake without this sort of help. And it's a tasty way to do it. The skim milk to wash it down is a good idea too although I'll probably just do a 8 ounces. But that's 40 grams of good protein for a total of around 410 calories, hard to beat that.
